CARBON - Exposed Concrete Primer

Exposed concrete primer that provides excellent adhesion and optimizes working time before cement and gypsum plaster.

Product Description

CARBON is a primer based on acrylic polymer binder, specially developed to increase adhesion on exposed concrete surfaces and optimize working time. It is used before cement and gypsum based plasters.

  • Density: 1.70 ± 0.02 g/ml
  • Solid Content: 72 ± 1% (by weight)
  • Viscosity: 150 ± 10 KU
  • Color: Green

Consumption

Depending on surface absorbency:

  • With 1 kg: 4-6 m² of surface can be primed.

For exact consumption, it is recommended to apply on the surface.

Thinning

The 12 kg primer in the package is diluted with 4-6 kg of water.

Application Instructions

  1. The application surface must be solid, clean, dry, dust-free and smooth.
  2. Residues such as oil, dirt, rust and paraffin must be completely cleaned from the surface.
  3. It is applied with a textured roller after testing the surface adherence and durability.
  4. After applying the primer, an average of 24 hours should be waited for it to dry completely on the surface.

Drying Time

  • Touch Dry: 1-2 hours
  • Hard Dry: 24 hours

Storage and Shelf Life

It can be stored for 3 years in its unopened original packaging, in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and frost.

Things to Consider

  • It should be mixed in its packaging before use until it reaches the appropriate consistency.
  • The surface temperature should be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
  • On newly plastered surfaces, the surface must be allowed to dry for at least 4 weeks before applying primer.
  • It should not be used in areas with high humidity.
  • When working with diluted product, the mixture should be stirred occasionally.
