Product Description

SONKAT AHŞAP is a water-based wood varnish paint with a special pure acrylic binder base, excellent physical and chemical resistance, and high UV resistance. It can be used safely on all kinds of interior and exterior wooden surfaces such as old or new wooden doors, pergolas, window frames, paneling, garden furniture. It prevents water from reaching the wood by forming a film layer on wooden surfaces and provides protection against sunlight.

Expenditure

Depending on surface absorbency and smoothness:

• With 1 Liter: 16-20 m² of surface can be painted.

Thinning

It is ready to use for brush and roller applications. In spray gun applications, it is diluted with 10-15% water.

Application Instructions

1. Old painted surfaces should be sanded with fine sandpaper.
2. On new wood surfaces, knots should be burned and resins should be cleaned with cellulosic thinner.
3. Outdoor wooden surfaces should be impregnated against mold and fungus.
4. To saturate the raw wood surface, varnish should be diluted with 20-25% water and applied as one coat.
5. Then, 1-2 more coats should be applied without diluting to achieve the desired gloss.

Drying Time

• Touch Dry: 1-2 hours
• Hard Dry: 24 hours

Storage and Shelf Life

It can be stored for 2 years in its unopened original packaging, in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and frost.

Things to Consider

• It should be mixed until it reaches the appropriate consistency before use.
• The surface temperature during application should be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
