Product Description

YACHT VARNISH is an alkyd binder based, transparent and glossy varnish resistant to sea water, atmospheric conditions and sunlight. It can be used safely on wooden surfaces in interior and exterior spaces and on the wooden parts of sea vehicles that remain above water.

Consumption

Depending on surface absorbency:

• With 1 Liter: 14-20 m² of surface can be varnished.

Thinning

It is not diluted in brush and roller applications. In spray applications, it is diluted with 10% synthetic thinner.

Application Instructions

1. Old painted wooden surfaces should be sanded.
2. On newly painted wooden surfaces, knots should be burned and resins should be cleaned.
3. Non-impregnated wood must be impregnated against mold, fungus and worms.
4. Preferably, the surface should be saturated by applying 1 coat of colorless "Dekor".
5. "Yacht Varnish" is applied in 2-3 layers with an interval of 10-12 hours.
6. The surface should be smoothed by fine sandpaper between coats.

Drying Time

• Touch Dry: 2-4 hours
• Dust Retention: 6-8 hours
• Hard Dry: 24 hours
• Physical and Chemical Durability: After 4 days

Storage and Shelf Life

It can be stored for 5 years in its unopened original packaging, in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and frost.

Things to Consider

• It should be mixed until it reaches the appropriate consistency before use.
• The surface temperature during application should be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
• Drying time must be allowed between each layer and fine sanding must be done.
